Mike Palm (Indiana ‘04)
BA in Economics from Indiana University and MBA from the University of Chicago.
Mike has a background in finance and investing. He is a Vice President at Driehaus Private Equity, a Chicago-based
growth equity firm where he is responsible for identifying, reviewing and executing new investments along with assisting
in the oversight of the fund's portfolio investments. Prior to joining Driehaus Private Equity, Mike was an Associate at
Beecken Petty O'Keefe & Company, a middle market healthcare services investment firm, for three years after
beginning his career in the investment banking division of CRT Capital Group. He is currently a Board Member of
Energy Distribution Partners, GrowthPlay and Focus4Media. Mike is the Vice President of Sigma Triton’s housing
Shawn Shivnen (Eastern Michigan '00)
Shawn Shivnen is a High School Economics Teacher in Romulus Michigan. He holds a Bachelors Degree in
Economics, Masters Degree in Public and Non-Profit Administration, and an Educational Specialist degree in
Educational Leadership, from Eastern Michigan University. He is currently working on his Ph.D in Educational
Leadership. Shawn is the President of the Romulus Education Association, Treasurer of the MEA-Wayne County
Regional Association, Treasurer of the MEA-Wayne County Multiple Association Association Bargaining Council,
National Education Association Facilitator for teacher evaluation & local leadership, and just finished writing a thirty
million TILF Department of Education grant. Shawn is the President of the Epsilon Lambda Alumni Association, and
chapter adviser. He has formerly served as a contract negotiator and Vice-President of the Romulus Education
Association. Shawn serves as a high school quiz bowl coach, social studies department head, and a brand new father
to a baby boy.
Brian Radke (Northern Illinois '05)
BA in Political Science from Northern Illinois University and JD from The John Marshall School of Law in Chicago, IL
(2009). Current Alumni Board Housing Chairman of the Pi Pentaton Alumni Association at Northern Illinois University.
Brian has a background in the real estate and mortgage industries. Brian currently practices law in the Chicago area
primarily in the areas of residential real estate and family law matters. He is the founder and principal attorney at the
Law Offices of Brian M. Radke, PC in Des Plaines, IL.
Peter Anderson (Michigan '87)
BSE in Computer Engineering from University of Michigan and JD from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Experience in
real estate and landlord-tenant law. Pete has been a paralegal/office manager/attorney at Reach Law Firm of Ann
Arbor, MI since 1988. Former Delta Deuteron Alumni Board member including terms as president and secretary.
Blaine Browning (Cal Poly '09)
BS in Business Administration and Management from Cal Poly State University-San Luis Obispo.
Blaine has a background as a public auditor with extensive experience in the software and internet industry. He has
extensive experience with complex leasing transactions as well as REITs. Blain is the Manager, Global Lease
Accounting for Nike. Previously he was Manager of Accounting Policy at NetApp and a Manager at PWC, where he spent 6 years.

Jim McGuigan (UW/Milwaukee '90)

Jim is the owner of Energy Masters, an award-winning home improvement company in Wisconsin. He earned his Bachelors Degree at UW/Milwaukee and currently serves as Chairman of the Board in the Northwest Masonic Center. He has served in both appointed and elected government roles and is recognized as an expert in land use, zoning, planning, media relations and home improvements. As a landlord he is experienced in building requirements, tenant leases and disputes. He mentors multiple business owners who have gone on to be successful. Known simply as "Pops" to members of Epsilon Phi Chapter, Jim offers advice and guidance as requested.
Heman Chand (Cal Poly '01)

Heman Chand has a background in commercial construction and project management. He has 17 years of construction experience completing various construction projects totalling over $600+ million, with 9 of those years spent at The White-Turner Contracting Company. He holds a BS in Construction Management and MBA from California State University Sacramento where he teaches a Project Management Course to undergradute students. Day jobs aside, Heman has been mentoring both High School students thru ACE Mentoring Program and college students thru Sacramento State Engineering School in the field of Construction Management for 8+ years.
