Registration is now open for regional conclaves. All chapters and colonies are required to send six delegates, and have already been billed for their registration fees. Any additional undergraduate attendees will be billed $100 after attending, but need to register in advance. Alumni wishing to attend can register for a reduced rate of $50. You will need to use your graduation year on file with IHQ in order to register.
The registration deadline is January 8. For information on registering your attendees, locations and lodging arrangements, please visit our regional conclaves page. If you have questions on your location, please email Kathy Cannady. Any questions or problems with registration should be sent to Matt Valleau.
International Headquarters is excited to announce that the Grand Council has voted to approve the petition to charter from two of our colonies.
Chartering petitions were received from Pi Deuteron at The Ohio State University and Upsilon Tetarton at Rochester Institute of Technology. Upon review and discussion by the council, both petitions were approved unanimously. The two colonies are looking to schedule their chartering ceremonies for a weekend in March of 2014. More information on the events will be made available as the groups continue planning.
Please join us in congratulating these men for the work they have put in to become a chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa. Congratulatory notes for Pi Deuteron can be sent to Colony President Greg DalSanto at email@example.com, and for Upsilon Tetarton to Colony President Chris Rhoades at firstname.lastname@example.org.
A large series of storms passed through the Midwest on Sunday, November 17, with several reported tornadoes. International Headquarters has reached out to all chapters in Illinois and Indiana to see if any undergraduate members have been affected. Unfortunately, we have learned that an alumnus of the Phi Upsilon Chapter at Valparaiso University lost the home he shared with his wife and three children.
Upon learning this, Executive Vice President Michael Carey has asked all brothers and friends of the fraternity to consider ways to help support our brother in his time of need. IHQ will be collecting donations on site, and then staff will be making a trip to deliver relief items. We will accept and deliver all donations, but would like to at least collect some of the following:
Non-perishable food items
Pre-paid gift cards
10-gallon storage tubs
If you’d like to donate financially, please make checks payable to Randy Goldammer.
If you are mailing items in, please address them to Michael Carey at 2925 East 96th Street, Indianapolis IN 46240. Any brothers living locally are encouraged to stop by International Headquarters to deliver materials. Our hope is to make one trip on Friday and another next week if possible.
Thank you in advance for answering the call to help our brother in this time of need!
